Investigators left the crime scene in the 1000 block of Alcott Street around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Denver Police Department Public Information Officer Raquel Lopez says the shooting victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Police have not said if they are investigating the shooting as a homicide.

The Denver County Coroner's office will release the victim's name after family has been notified.

Police have not released any information on a possible suspect.
