At 11:50 p.m., Denver Police responded to a call of shots fired on the 1300 block of Pearl Street.
A woman was found dead at the scene, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Police arrested Clifford Dee Fordyce, 40, in connection with the death. Fordyce faces first-degree murder charges.
The name of the victim was not released.
