Firefighters responded to the alley at 4251 Grove St. where crews are working on a sewer line. 

Rescuers say the man was working on a sewer line when dirt in a 10-to-12 foot trench buried the lower part of his body. He died at the scene. No one else was hurt.

The incident is still under investigation.
