AURORA - A ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning helped celebrate the completion of the $43-million rebuild of the Interstate 225 - Colfax Avenue/17th Place interchange.

The interchange was built to help serve the Anschutz Medical Campus, the Fitzsimons Life Science District and the soon-to-be finished Veterans Hospital.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will officially open the interchange to traffic sometime next week.
