DENVER - Hundreds of homes were without water for most of Tuesday morning due to a 24-inch main that broke around midnight in the area of East 64th Avenue and Tower Road.
Greg Baker, spokesperson for Aurora Water, says the outage impacted traffic on East 64th Avenue for hours and took until 8:15 a.m. to complete.
Baker said the outage affected the Single Tree and High Pointe neighborhoods.
High Point Academy also closed on Tuesday as a result of the water main break. About 700 students attend that school.
The outage was bordered on the north by East 64th Avenue, East 56th on the south, North Dunkirk Street on the west and Picadilly Road on the east.
