DENVER - A 3-year-old girl, who police say was shot in the head by her own mother, continues her "miraculous" recovery.
Isabel Perez was upgraded to good condition Monday at Children's Hospital of Denver. She was transferred from Denver Health.
Doctors called her recovery a "miracle" during a press briefing last week.
"Isabel is doing extremely well given the severity of her injury," her neurosurgeon Dr. Ken Winston said last week.
Isabel is the lone survivor of her mother's murder-suicide. Police say, Mayra Nunez shot and killed two of her other children, 6-year-old Neveah Morales and 1-year-old Erick Perez, at their home in northeast Denver. She then took her own life.
