DENVER - It's a common sense reminder, but it seems to be deterring car break-ins in Denver.
Police have placed a sign at East 2nd Avenue and Broadway to remind drivers in the Baker neighborhood to keep valuables out of sight.
In the week since, there has been only one break-in reported, compared with about 30 the previous three weeks.
A similar sign placed in Green Valley Ranch also reduced the number of break-ins. Police plan to move the sign around to different neighborhoods.
