Authorities searching for missing woman near Aspen

ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are looking for a 57-year-old woman who has been missing since she left her campsite near Aspen for a walk.

Jessie Mosher, a spokeswoman for the Eagle County Sheriff's Office, tells The Aspen Daily News that Dorothy L. Jenkins was last seen walking away from the campsite near Woods Lake, northeast of Thomasville on Sunday afternoon. The area is near Burnt Mountain.

Jenkins' companion told investigators the woman was wearing a maroon tank top and khaki- or light-colored shorts. She did not have any overnight equipment.

Mosher declined to say if investigators suspected foul play.
