BOULDER - One of Colorado's oldest brewpubs is closing its doors and reopening them as another Boulder brewery staple: Boulder Beer.
Walnut Brewery is closing June 4th after 27 years in business.
The Boulder Daily Camera reports Tennessee-based Craftworks Brewery Group is selling Walnut Brewery to Boulder's Frank Day. His wife is a part owner of Boulder Beer.
Boulder Beer's president says they plan to use the new downtown location for research and development for new brews.
They also plan to keep some of the traditional Walnut beers.
