BOULDER - A 36-year-old Lakewood man was rescued from the second flatiron Tuesday morning after spending the night stranded on the rock.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says the climber was scrambling on the flatiron when he found himself unable to get down on his own. He had difficulty reaching his friends via text message overnight, and ultimately got in touch with dispatch just before 7:40 a.m.
Boulder County Emergency Services and the Rocky Mountain Rescue Group were able to belay him to safety shortly thereafter.
