DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - The Colorado Brewers Guild and the breakaway breweries that formed Craft Beer Colorado, a competing industry organization, late this spring have patched up their differences and will band together again as one organization, a guild board member told the Denver Business Journal Saturday.
After a two-hour meeting between organizational leaders during the Great American Beer Festival on Friday, the two groups have agreed in principle to combine once again, said Chris Wright, the guild board member and owner of Pikes Peak Brewing Co. in Monument.
The boards of the two organizations still must ratify the agreement, but leaders ironed out their biggest differences and agreed that the $1.7 billion craft-beer community in Colorado must speak with one voice in the coming year, he said.
“We don’t have a lot of details. And it still needs to be ratified,” Wright said. “But craft beer in Colorado will have a single voice.”
