KUSA - It's wedding season - but it's also monsoon season in Colorado.
And with Saturday's downpour one couple proved they can weather a storm together.
Kristin and Colin Campbell are from Austin, Texas - but planned a destination wedding at the Flagstaff amphitheater in Boulder.
Colin's family had loved vacationing there - so they felt it was the perfect spot.
But the weather for their ceremony turned out to be not-so-perfect.
"The second I started to walk down the aisle with my dad, this huge clap of thunder and lightning happened and it was like God making some sort of statement," Kristin said.
The couple improvised and shortened their ceremony - because the rain wouldn't let up. Their guests sat through it, soaking wet.
Their wedding planner grabbed what the couple called a "photogenic umbrella" from one of their guests. The newlyweds say the storm made their special day even better.
"It's supposed to be really good luck right?" Kristin said.
"I wouldn't change anything about what happened yesterday. It all seemed to happen the way it was supposed to," Colin said.
"No one will ever forget our ceremony," Kristin said.
