Roads reopen after death investigation

DENVER - A death investigation near the Broadway light rail station led to a freight train blocking Highway 85 for much of Tuesday morning at Alameda Avenue, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. 

The body was found near the train tracks just east of Cherokee Street and Ohio Avenue early Tuesday morning. 

Denver Police haven’t said if the person’s death is suspicious, or identified the victim.

Northbound Santa Fe Drive and southbound Kalamath Street reopened just before 9 a.m. The roads had been closed for a few hours. 

No additional information was immediately available.
