KUSA - The Denver Police Department released its first ever police officer calendar on Wednesday, "Behind the Badge."

A group of Denver Police wives put the calendar together. It features both the men and women of the police department, including Sgt. Tony Lopez Jr. and Officer John Adsit.

The images showcase the good work these officers do every day. Its purpose is to help bridge the gap between the community and law enforcement.

It features the officers doing things they love, including: coaching Special Olympics, taking inner city kids fishing and mentoring at-risk kids.

The calendars will be available at Denver branches of Alpine bank and

All proceeds will go to the Denver Police Foundation.
