DIA gets more international service Thursday

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Air Canada will launch nonstop flights between Denver and Vancouver, Canada, on Thursday, with twice-daily service over the summer.

The new flights -- announced in December-- will boost service to Denver International Airport's second-most-popular Canadian destination, after Toronto, airport officials said.

United Airlines — DIA’s No. 1 carrier — already offers nonstop flights between Denver and the Canadian West Coast city.

Vancouver also is Denver’s seventh-largest international market. Officials say nearly 200 people a day fly between the two cities, an increase of 7 percent over 2015.
