EVERGREEN - A dog that has been missing for more than two months was reunited with his owner overnight.

Matt Vogler says his beloved pup Rue was returned after he disappeared from a restaurant in Evergreen.

Vogler, likes to think people stop by his restaurant and bar for the green chili, but come back for Rue, his five-year-old Catahoula leopard dog.

The Tributary sits at the bottom of Floyd Hill just off Interstate 70. Vogler’s friendly pup with unlimited energy entertained customers for hours on the patio behind the restaurant.

Rue was found in Arvada. The dog was spotted by fisherman, wearing a full body harness and a choke chain. Rue was wearing dog tags for a dog named Dexter.

The fisherman took him home and posted a picture of the dog online. Rue's owner recognized him and left immediately to get him.

They met with the fisherman at 2 a.m. and were reunited.

Vogler says he's relieved he got his dog back. They played until sunrise.
