DENVER - It's a sweet race for a sweet cause. The 13th annual Great Candy Run on Nov. 6 at Denver's Washington Park benefits the Fetal Health Foundation, which provides assistance to families experiencing complicated pregnancies and funds research into fetal syndromes.
Each year, thousands of runners and families join the fun at this race, which has been named Best Kids Run by Competitor Magazine for the past two years. The event offers a 5K Run/Walk including a competitive Stroller Division for those pushing little ones and a free Coda Coffee Gumdrop Kids Fun Run.
There will be lots of sweet extras such as on-course entertainment, costume contests for all ages, prize money, medals for every finisher, one of the area’s largest post-race expos, celebrity appearances by local mascots, and of course, sweet treats for all!
New this year ... the Jelly Belly Jelly Bean Village offering four tasting booths and a chance to play the wacky BeanBoozled game where you could get a delicious Juicy Pear jelly bean or get tricked into sampling Booger flavor.
The Great Candy Run is presented by The Colorado Institute for Maternal and Fetal Health. Walk or run, but be sure to join the fun!
Cost: 5K - Kids 12 and under and seniors 60+: $30; adults: $40.
