Fire breaks out at antique store on busy stretch of Tennyson

DENVER - Flames were seen shooting out the window of an old antique shop near West 41st Avenue and Tennyson Street Tuesday morning.

The fire is at Green Door Furniture, which is on a busy stretch of Tennyson Street in Denver’s Berkeley neighborhood.Firefighters say no one was inside when the fire broke out, but that the store was open for business at the time. 

A 9NEWS producer in the area shared video of a large plume of smoke coming from the store. Firefighters were on the scene as of 9:50 a.m.

What caused the fire is unknown. Tennyson is closed between 38th and 42nd Avenues for the investigation.
