Fire discovered after deputies respond to domestic disturbance

BOULDER COUNTY - A man is in the hospital and in critical condition after deputies found a fire when they responded to a Boulder County apartment on a report of a domestic disturbance.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says they first received a call about the incident in the 4600 block of White Rock Circle just after 3:30 a.m.

When deputies realized there was a fire, the woman who first called 911 was evacuated, as were the people in nearby apartments.

Fire crews rescued the man who was injured from inside the apartment when they arrived. They haven’t identified him, or talked about what kind of injuries he had.

The people who were displaced were moved to a nearby community space. It’s unclear how many residents will have to find another place to live, or the extent of the damage to the apartment building.

The cause remains under investigation, and no other information was immediately released by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.
