Firefighters rescue 2 in roof collapse

GREENWOOD VILLAGE – Firefighters rescued two people who were inside a home when the roof partially collapsed Wednesday afternoon. No one was injured.

It happened at around 2:15 a.m. at 11 Windover Road. A spokesperson for South Metro Fire says work was being done on the home when about one-third of the roof collapsed.

Rescuers say the people inside the house lived there, and were not construction crews.

Investigators and other officials are on the way.
