KUSA - A heartwarming reunion happened Friday between the parents of a newborn baby and the firefighters who helped bring the little one into world.
Just before sunrise on March 27, Brenna Trim woke up to contractions. While she was in her closet picking out clothes to go to the hospital her water broke, and she went into labor.
Her husband quickly called 911. That’s when members of the West Metro Fire Department showed up to their Lakewood home and realized there wasn’t enough time to get Brenna to the hospital.
Instead, they helped deliver baby Christian right there in the closet.
Nearly six months later, the Trims got to reunite with the fire and rescue crew at Station 1 who helped deliver baby.
Brenna and her husband say they are grateful for the quick actions of West Metro Fire. They brought a card and cookies as a way of saying thank you.
