DENVER – Have you ever thought about hosting a foreign exchange student for an academic year.
One organization, Cultural Homestay International, is looking for families right now.
Homestay is a non-profit that has been matching great families with great kids for more than 36 years.
It’s hosted students from all over the world, allowing Americans to share their values, love and freedom with foreigners.
Host parents say the students from abroad become a part of the family, sometimes even having arguments with their “adopted” brothers and sisters. It’s all part making an emotional connection between the hosts and the exchange students. It’s all part of making it a memorable experience for both.
