KUSA - More big box retailers are announcing their holiday hiring plans.
Macy's revealed its plans to hire about 83,000 people to work at its department stores, call centers and shipping facilities.
Kohl's will add more than 69,000 positions and Target wants to fill 70,000 jobs.
All these openings give those looking for work a lot of options. For job seekers interested in less conventional positions, the experts at the staffing firm Robert Half have some suggestions.
If you have administrative experience, consider looking into jobs with companies that specialize in benefits.
"We forget that in fourth quarter a lot of companies are going through open enrollment," Katie Essman, regional president of Robert Half International, said. "That requires a ramp up of employment whether it's temporary or long term. Organizations really do need additional help and support in those areas."
Don't discount a job in hospitality, especially because Denver and Colorado are big destinations for visitors during winter months.
Want to just stay home? Amazon selected Colorado as one of several states where holiday employees can work from home full time as Customer Service Associates.
