DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - I’ll never forget the feeling of dying a slow death when I hated my last “real” job.
That was 1990. And what happened to me after that was both liberating and terrifying at the same time.
Not long ago I heard about a big company executive bragging on a conference call about the heart attack he had weeks prior. He was telling his team he was back at work, still overweight, over-traveled and clearly stressed out.
Even though his job was killing him, here he was, back in the same game, and really proud of his “war wound,” the heart attack that nearly killed him.
