Littleton High School student arrested for threats

LITTLETON – Police arrested a 17-year-old boy on Monday after they say he made verbal threats to other students earlier this year.

Littleton High School notified police about the threats on Feb. 10.

Police say they filed a criminal case against the student with the district attorney's office on March 5. He was arrested at the Options Pathways Alternative School in Littleton on March 17.

The 17-year-old is charged with interference with a government operation (school) and harassment.

The Littleton Public School District released the following statement Friday:

While Littleton Public Schools does not discuss the details of individual student issues, please know that every concern is taken seriously and handled with care. All schools encounter situations from time to time that require a response. When that happens at an LPS school, we have processes and procedures in place that guide these responses. We work closely with local law enforcement. The safety and well-being of our students and staff continues to be our highest priority.
