Loveland fatal motorcycle crash involves animal

LOVELAND, COLO. - Police responded Friday evening to a report of a fatal motorcycle crash that involved an animal, a news release said.

The motorcycle was traveling southbound in the 3600 block of South Lincoln Avenue when the driver  collided with an unknown animal and lost control.

The driver was not wearing a helmet and he was thrown off his motorcycle. He went off the east side of the roadway.

He was pronounced dead on scene after Loveland Police responded to the incident at 9:57 p.m.

It is not known if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash, but speed is being looked into as a contributing factor.
