DENVER – Police have completed a campus-wide search of Rose Medical Center after responding to reports of a man spotted with a gun in the area on Friday afternoon. No suspects or victims were located.
The hospital, located at 4567 East 9th Avenue, was on lockdown for hours as officers searched the hospital room-by-room.
The lockdown has since been lifted, and people are systematically being allowed to leave the building, Julie Hogan with Rose Medical Center said.
Denver Police have received multiple reports surrounding the incident. The original call for shots fired came out at 4 p.m., but police have not been able to verify that.
Police are looking for a white man in his mid-30's in connection to the investigation. He is about 130 pounds, and was last seen wearing a flannel shirt and hat, police said.
Several surrounding streets were blocked off during the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
