ARVADA - What authorities describe as a “handsome young bull moose” has been moved back into the wild after he was spotted exploring Arvada Thursday morning.
Arvada Police helped Colorado Parks and Wildlife tranquilize the animal, which was hanging out in someone’s yard.
A 9NEWS viewer said the moose was in the area of West 64th Avenue and Union Street, just moosing about and checking out what the hype is about this quaint Denver suburb.
A Facebook post from the Arvada Police Department possibly sums up the moose’s journey best:
“It’s not every day we have a moose in Arvada,” they wrote. “Thankfully, no one gave him a muffin and he was successfully relocated.”
