Motorcyclist critically injured in Aurora crash

AURORA - A motorcyclist was critically injured after crashing into a car in Aurora Friday evening. It happened around 5 p.m. in the 3500 block of South Dayton Street near East Hampden Avenue.

Police say a woman was exiting a retail business driveway eastbound, making a left turn to go northbound on Dayton. Police say the woman failed to see the motorcycle and drove in front of it. The motorcycle struck the driver's side of the car.

The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and is in critical condition. It is unknown if he will survive the crash. The female driver and only occupant of the car was not injured.

The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet. Neither speed nor intoxication is suspected.
