Dan Rather loves himself some Denver Intl. Airport

The newsman has shown DIA affection since 2012.

DENVER - Travelgeddon 2017 is almost upon us.

Most people dread flying at this time of year, and then there's Dan Rather, who's happy, as long as he's flying through Denver.

Rather visited here on Monday night to talk about his new book, What Unites Us: Reflections on Patriotism, at Trinity United Methodist Church.

Upon landing at Denver International Airport, Rather couldn't help but show some love for DIA.

He tweeted, "Spend a lot of time in airports and arrived in @DENAirport today on my book tour. Reminded about how much I like it. From cleanliness to friendliness to design, I always feel a little brighter upon arrival."

Based on our Twitter search our extensive research, this is the third time Rather has tweeted about his affection for DIA.

There's this tweet from July: "Changing planes in Denver for NYC. Reminded that Denver's is one of the great airports in the world. Beautiful, well designed...it works."

And this post from 2012: "Flying deep into the night on a United flight from Denver to NYC. The Denver airport is one of the best in the world. Also, the security at thisairport is the fastest, most hassle free and friendly with usually the shortest lines of any major airport in the US. Professional and efficient. I wish Homeland Security and other major airports would study it and make adjustments accordingly."

But, don't get too comfortable, Denver. Our research also shows that DIA may have some competition from the South.

No, this is not news. It's just for fun, so put away your angry typing finger before commenting.
