What do YOU say? How do you pronounce 'Routt' County?

It's a county in northwest Colorado.

NEXT WITH KYLE CLARK - The county in northwest Colorado is home to Steamboat Springs and another confusing name.

Even our meteorologist Belen DeLeon said 'Routt' County always trips her up.

We called up the county's Sheriff, Garrett Wiggins, to settle the pronunciation debate.

He said he's heard two pronounciations: 'ROUTE' (like in router) and 'ROOT.'

And it's...

'ROUTE.'

"It doesn't sound right at all, when they say 'root' county," Sheriff Wiggins said.
