Oil field worker dies days after pipeline fire

KUSA - A man working in a Colorado oil field was injured in a fire back on November 16 and died late Tuesday, according to Weld County.

George Cottingham was working on a gas pipeline east of Galeton when he was injured in a fire that broke out there on the 16th, according to a news release from Weld County. 

The 61-year-old from Greeley was taken to the North Colorado Medical Center Burn Center but passed away on Tuesday, a spokesperson for the county said.

The exact manner of death is still under investigation.

Officials are still looking into the cause of the fire, the county says.
