Future leaders learn about civics at State Capitol

KUSA - The Colorado State Capitol hosted a passionate group of leaders. They just are not old enough to vote in November's election.

The Douglas County Youth Congress is already making a difference. It came to spend the day with legislators to learn more about addressing the issues that relate to them directly.

The group of students is looking for solutions related to the challenges of social media, dating harassment, and cyber bullying.

It is a project of the Douglas County Youth Initiative. This is the seventh Youth Congress where students come together to learn more about leading among peers.
