Hickenlooper, Udall lead in new poll

DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - With Colorado's primary out of the way, an early head-to-head poll shows the Democratic incumbents in Colorado's governor and Senate races leading their Republican challengers.

The NBC News/Marist poll, out Tuesday, shows Gov. John Hickenlooper with a six percentage point lead over GOP challenger Bob Beauprez, 49 percent to 43 percent.

And in the U.S. Senate race, incumbentMark Udall holds a seven-point lead over his challenger, U.S. Rep. Cory Gardner, R-Yuma, with 48 percent support to Gardner's 41 percent.
