KUSA - Campaign signs are often the target of vandals, and this election season is no different.
At the intersection of West 118th Avenue and Main Street in Broomfield, one of the larger Trump-Pence campaign signs has been dismantled.
Police say they'll need a few things to happen before they'll look into this case.
"That would be considered to be criminal mischief and somebody could be served a ticket for that, if you know who the person is," Joleen Reefe with Broomfield Police Department said. "Some of that would be defining and figuring out who the person is. We're not going to open an active investigation. But we're going to have to have someone identified."
Witnesses say they've seen similar Trump signs vandalized in Broomfield.
However, police say they would need to get a complaint from the owner of the signs to open an investigation.
