Roads re-opened after gas line break

DENVER - Crews have repaired a gas line that broke at West 1st Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard just after midnight Thursday.

Sheridan Boulevard from West 3rd Avenue to Ellsworth Avenue was closed as well as West 1st Avenue from Ames Street to Zenobia Street for a few hours as crews repaired the line and road.

On June 4th, there was another gas line break at West 2nd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. On that day, Denver Water crews were trying to install a new water main. Denver Water said they accidentally cut the gas line under Sheridan Boulevard because they didn't know it was there.

No word yet what caused Thursday's gas line break.
