Colorado native Jack Fischer is spending his first night aboard the International Space Station.

KUSA - Colorado native Jack Fischer is spending his first night aboard the International Space Station.

Fischer blasted off from Kazakhstan about 3:30 our time this morning.

The Soyuz capsule carrying him and a Russian cosmonaut took six hours to reach the space station.

They will join three others living there including American Peggy Whitson, 57, who is the oldest woman to be in space.
