Stolen car crashes into Denver house

Police say a driver crashed a stolen car into a house Monday afternoon. 9NEWS at 7 a.m. 07/15/14.

DENVER - Police say a driver crashed a stolen car into a house Monday afternoon. It happened near West First Avenue and Osceola Street in southwest Denver.

Police say the driver of the stolen car spotted police and took off, crashing into the home. Police did not give chase.

After the crash, the driver and three women - one possibly pregnant - fled on foot. All of them were taken into custody after a short chase. The driver was taken to the hospital as precaution, but no serious injuries were reported.

The extend of the damage to the house is not known. It is unclear if anyone was home at the time of the crash.
