Julie Hart, from Boulder, was on Continental Flight 1404 Dec. 20 when it slid off the runway at DIA and caught fire.

Her attorney has filed a lawsuit against the airline, claiming the pilot should have requested a runway change when faced with dangerous crosswinds.

Hart is also asking for compensation for emotional and physical damages.

She is also a plaintiff in a lawsuit brought against Boeing, the plane's manufacturer.

Continental has said it will defend the actions of its crew.
