STEAMBOAT SPRINGS - In Steamboat Springs, there’s a special September 11th tribute being organized for the second year by a teenager who wants to make sure other kinds never forget what happened 15 years ago.

Last year Kyle Case planted 2,977 American flags along Highway 40 to represent all the lives lost in the September 11 attacks. This year he’s doing it again with a few more.

Case is planting another 2,000 for the lives lost in connection to the attacks and is getting help from a few Steamboat Springs kids.

They're putting up 60 flags for the police and 343 for the firefighters who died along with about 2,000 more for all the people who have passed away due to complications of the September 11 attacks.

Its work Kyle hopes will help people remember September 11 and help a younger generation learn about their own history.
