LARIMER COUNTY - Lightning is confirmed to be the cause of the now 350-acre wildfire that started burning near Red Feather Lakes Sunday afternoon.
What's been dubbed the Starwood Fire is now 35 percent contained, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office said Monday night.
Thirty structures were threatened by the blaze, but so far, there are have been no reports of damage or injuries. Around 43 contacts received evacuation notices.
More than 120 personnel from multiple agencies are fighting the fire on the ground.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office says the fire is moving northwest – but a change in conditions is helping fight the blaze.
“Fortunate, the relative humidity rose last night – which helped a bit,” Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson David Moore said.
