DENVER - The search for the person involved in a violent early Thursday morning robbery and chase in Denver came up empty-handed, according to Denver Police.
Officers had set up a perimeter in Centennial as they searched for suspects.
The incident started at around 2 a.m., when police first received a call about shots fired in the area of Morrison Road and West Kentucky Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found two people whose vehicle had been stolen. One of them had been shot, and is in critical condition.
Police later spotted the stolen car nearby. The driver led officers on a pursuit on Interstate 25 toward Arapahoe Road.
A car believed to be the stolen vehicle was later abandoned near South Glencoe Street in Centennial.
Police have not released a detailed description of the suspect.
