KUSA - A man accused of shooting at police officers during a traffic stop pleaded guilty to attempted murder on Monday.
Two Northglenn officers were conducting a traffic stop on Dec. 19, 2015 when they realized Adrian Brandon Moya, 24, had an outstanding warrant for felony menacing and forgery.
Moya, a passenger in the car, tried leaving the scene and shot at officers.
The officer, who was protected by his ballistic vest, was shot twice.
The officer shot back at Moya, hitting him multiple times. Moya was treated for his wounds and arrested.
As part of the plea agreement, Moya faces a stipulated sentence of 20 to 32 years. He'll be sentenced at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 18 in Division E of Adams County District Court.
