Man's body found in vacant home about to be demolished

MORGAN COUNTY, CO. - The Morgan County Sheriff's Office is investigating a homicide after a man's body was found in a vacant home.

Deputies were called after workers preparing to demolish the home found the body late Monday morning.

The body was found in the garage, according to a sheriff's office news release.

The home is located in the 19000 block of Highway 34 near Saunders Road in Ft. Morgan

Investigators are hoping to learn more about the man's death after an autopsy is performed Tuesday.

Officials say the autopsy will also help them ID the man.

Ft. Morgan Police and the Morgan County coroner are assisting in the investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Jon Holt or Lt. Jon Horton at 970-867-2461.
