Event brings services to homeless veterans

DENVER - An event is hoping to help homeless veterans across the Denver metro area with job and housing referrals.

Organizations like the Denver VA Regional Office, VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services, Denver VA Medical Center, the Social Security Administration, Denver County Homeless Court, Veteran Service Organizations and other nonprofits and commercial organizations will be in attendance. Those groups hope to help fight homelessness in the veteran community.

The event will be held on Thursday from 8 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Colorado Army National Guard Armory at 5275 Franklin St. in Denver.

The event in 2014 had more than 500 veterans in attendance.
