President Trump tweets about Matt Lauer being fired

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- President Donald Trump turned to Twitter early Wednesday morning to offer his thoughts on Matt Lauer’s termination from NBC News.

"Wow, Matt Lauer was just fired from NBC for ‘inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace,’" President Trump tweeted. "But when will the top executives at NBC & Comcast be fired for putting out so much Fake News. Check out Andy Lack’s past!"

Lack is the chairman of NBC News who issued a statement about Lauer’s departure.

But President Trump wasn’t done there.

“So now that Matt Lauer is gone when will the Fake News practitioners at NBC be terminating the contract of Phil Griffin?” he tweeted two hours later. “And will they terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the ‘unsolved mystery’ that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!”

Lauer's termination was announced by a "heartbroken" Savannah Guthrie on the Today show.
