DENVER - We're just a few days away from our big 9 Cares Colorado Shares food drive this Saturday.
Some Colorado early education schools aren't waiting until the weekend to help feed families in need.
11 buses from Primrose Schools stopped by the Food Bank of the Rockies Thursday morning to drop of loads of donations students and staff have collected over the past three weeks.
Pre-school and Kindergarten students helped carry the smaller donations to the food bank volunteers, with some help.
The students talked to us about their favorite part of making their big donation this morning.
"To make people have a good, better life," one student told 9NEWS.
"To make people have food for their families," said another.
Primrose Schools has made large donations to 9 Cares Colorado Shares for several years now.
You can also help families in need by donating to our drive this Saturday.
