Owners watch as two people burgle Denver restaurant

The owners of Solitaire Restaurant are asking for the public's help in tracking down suspects who broke into their West Highland eatery early Friday morning.

DENVER - Two men are still at large after breaking in and stealing items from Solitaire in the Highlands, Friday night, after it was closed.

The restaurant's owners watched the whole thing happen on their phone from home and called police.

"We just kind of sat in bed watching all of this take place, kind of helplessly, and just patiently waiting for police to arrive," Mark Ferguson said. "Unfortunately, they arrived just minutes after the burglars had taken off."

Ferguson said they ended up taking a compressor, a partial case of vodka and a few other things.

"There are people out there that are still continuing to do this kind of thing, so we're just making sure that everybody knows about it, spread this out as much as we can so that it doesn't happen to anybody else or us again," he said.

Ferguson said there are at least 12 surveillance cameras set up around the building. The footage that was recorded is now being used to help police find the suspects.

If you have any information, call police.
