Police release up-close photos of bank robbery suspect

KUSA - The search is on for a man who robbed a bank in the middle of the afternoon on Wednesday. 

According to Wheat Ridge Police, the suspect demanded money from bank employees, who obliged, at the 1st Bank at 4350 Wadsworth Blvd just before 1 p.m. 

The man said he had a weapon, but police say he didn't show one. He left the bank on foot, but it's unclear which way he went. 

No one was injured.                       
 
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or white male, about 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and a thin build. 

He was wearing a brown hat and dark colored hoodie at the time of the crime.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
