DENVER BUSINESS JOURNAL - Is trade under attack? That was the question of the day at the annual World Trade Day in downtown Denver Tuesday.
The talk comes after President Donald Trump said he was going to sign an executive order on his 100th day in office to end the U.S. partnership in the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Derek Gianino, director of international policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C., said the chamber and other business leaders jumped into action when they heard about it.
"The chamber and a lot of others from the business community weighed in heavily with the administration at very high levels," he added. '"This would be a mistake,' they told the administration."
